The National Society of the Children of the American Revolution (N.S.C.A.R.) is the nation’s oldest patriotic youth organization. Membership is open to descendants of the American Revolution. Members obtain leadership experience as they learn to conduct meetings, follow parliamentary procedures, and speak in front of both large and small groups. Members learn about the democratic process as they vote to select officers and then follow through with the responsibilities of their offices.
The Alexander McNair Society Children of the American Revolution is a local society of the N.S.C.A.R. based out of St. Louis, Missouri. The society meets on the second Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM at a variety of locations throughout the Greater St. Louis Area. The society is sponsored by the following parent organizations: Cornelia Greene Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Reverend John Clark Daughters of the American Revolution, and Spirit of St. Louis Chapter Sons of the American Revolution.
